New Business Venture

How many times have you dreamed for the perfect job? Just a job you would look forward to getting up for every single day using the gift that God has bestowed within your soul?

Too many people have their dreams snatched from their very hands while it lies just within reach. They will never know just how close they were in making that dream a reality. So whenever I heard of someone's heartfelt passion and a dream they would like to see come true, well you've just got yourself the biggest cheerleader you've ever seen.

My brother has a dream to become a photographer and use his unique and creative talent to see his dreams fulfilled. I have shared photos with you in the past to highlight his amazing ability to capture memories in a moment and he has been more than generous in taking my daughters pictures as well.

His dream is for someone to see his work and advance him towards the next step in fulfilling this dream, whether its for advertising or just becoming well known for his pictures or even having a book published. He specializes in vintage photographs of World War 1 and 2, and that old Hollywood Film Noir look.

I did convince him that a website for his photography was necessary and to keep on pursuing his dream no matter what anyone tells him. There are enough people out there squishing our dreams and taking away our life long passions.

If you're interested in seeing his portfolio or know of someone who can help him in the right direction, would you please contact him at his website through the contact link! I know he will achieve this it just takes time.

That's really cool! Unfortunately, I don't know anyone in the business, but I hope it works out for him.

I so totally agree with you...too many people squash other's dreams...maybe because they don't know how to dream? Your brother will make it - he's very talented - and you were right to encourage him to publish his photos in a site. You just never know who might be looking... (i will in a few minutes...that's for sure!)

Doug's cousin saw some of my pics and told me I should start a business, b/c I love it. She suggested I get a grant. She said there are lots of small business grants for these kinds of things. I have NOT checked into it, but I pass this along, b/c it may help your brother.
Hugs,

He has beautiful abilities! I would certainly recommend that he contact magazines along the lines of his expertise and have them consider using his photographer skills. Once he gets his name out, he's only going to continue to soar.

I so believe that we need to keep our passions alive. Just because someone else tells you that you "don't have it" doesn't mean that you have to believe them. It means to fight that much harder for it. Loved this post, Kat.

I don't know anyone in the business, but I certainly think he should persue his dream. He is very good at it! and he has a great sister to cheer him on! I wish him the very best in his endeavor.

Hi there, I've got to say I thought this was a photo from an actress from the 40's or 50's-it is incredible!!!! He is very talented and very blessed to have you cheering him on. We all need people like you to cheer for us.
With his talent and his sister I think he'll get some business soon.
Love you Kat.

Good for him for following his dreams. I hope he is not putting all of his faith in just waiting for someone to come along though. When you have a passion such as this it is best to go forth into the world and start talking to as many people in the business as possible, taking his work around, showing people the beauty that he creates. When we wait for someone to take off with our dream we can be waiting forever some times...... Wishing him the best in his journey with photography!
