Fun Fall Facts

Here are some interesting Fall facts I have been collecting especially after reading so many "fall-like posts" lately.

  • If St. Michaels brings many acorns, Christmas will cover the fields with snow. ( Mari, this reminded me of you!)

  • In weather lore, we note, “If October brings heavy frosts and winds, then will January and February be mild.”

  • Much rain in October means much wind in December.

  • For every fog in October means a day of snow in winter.

  • Full moon in October with no frost, means no frost til full moon in November.

So there you have it for those of you that really have some of these signs in your area. For us, thankfully we have experienced much cooler temps, almost fall like for the last few days with temps that keep our windows closed because it's crisp and chilly out with winds bringing in a low pressure area til the weekend.

Enjoy your fall weather and hope these predictions bring some happiness to you!

I've heard some of these, but not all. After reading them, I'm worried about what is coming to us this winter!
