This Little Prayer of Mine

I had the opportunity to receive this beautiful complimentary book from WaterBrook Multnomah Publishers called This Little Prayer of Mine by Anthony DeStefano. This is my first children’s book to review and I was captivated by the illustrations on each and every page detailing the prayers of a child and how it affects their relationships with God.

How God is there when it gets scary or when you are alone or even when you wonder just what to do, the book is filled with beautiful color pictures on every page set to a rhyme. Below is an excerpt from one page of this wonderful Christian children’s book.

“And when my heart is very sad, and tears roll down my face, please help me to be happy so a smile can take their place.”

I had the opportunity not only review it but to read it to my youngest daughter as well as my niece, and I couldn’t get the book back from my niece. She found something within the book that she wanted to hear over and over and even asked grandma if they could read it again before bedtime. What better way to encourage God’s presence and love in the simple prayers of a child? This is a must have for your permanent library and a wonderful gift for communion or Easter!

Okay, I'm in on this one. :) I'm not generally big on books that teach children pre-written prayers because I emphasize talking to God as in a relationship. But if I can read it as a story for them to learn from then I'm good with it. :)

Thanks Kat!

how are you feeling, girlie? Have been praying you're doing MUCH better...you have sooooo been on my mind. To never have met you, you have really been in my thoughts. Praying your health and homelife is THRIVING...'cause you are our Lord's most-valued creation and He wants THE BEST for you :)

This book is probably good for "big" adults living in a "small" adult body. :)

Thank you Kat.
