Our bodies now disappoint us, but when they are raised, they will be full of glory. They are weak now, but when they are raised, they will be full of power.1 Corinthians 15:43Did you know that the Lord has an amazing trade-in deal in store for you? That's right; you are going to trade in your existing body, with its aches and pains, for the newest model.
Of course, that is not a perfect analogy, because there will be a link between your old body and your new one.
Here are some thoughts about the new body God has for you when you get to heaven.
Your memory will be clearer! The blueprints for our glorified bodies are in the bodies we now possess.
Heaven is the Earthly life of the believer, glorified and perfected. When we pass over to the other side, our minds and our memories will be clearer then ever before.
As the apostle Paul writes: "Our bodies now disappoint us, but when they are raised, they will be full of glory. They are weak now, but when they are raised, they will be full of power. They are natural human bodies now, but when they are raised, they will be spiritual bodies" (1 Corinthians 15:43-44).
No sinful tendenciesThis simply means that our new bodies will be the same as our old bodies in some ways, and different in other ways, but without question radically improved!
No more physical disabilities. No signs of age and no sinful tendencies.
A great quoteJoni Erickson Tada is a quadriplegic who has glorified God despite her disability, which was the result of a diving accident in her youth.
In her book "Heaven: Your Real Home", she writes about the new bodies God has for us:
"No more bulging middles or balding tops. No varicose veins or crow's feet. No more cellulite or support hose. Forget the 'thunder thighs' and highway hips.
Just a quick leapfrog over the tombstone, and it's the body you've always dreamed of. Fit and trim, smooth and sleek."

Well I can't wait for my new body. This one's just about worn out! It's too bad we have to look the same in heaven though, I think it would be fun to look altogether different!
I am ready for my trade in...no more pain, tears, or heartache!
Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Blessings, hugs, and prayers, andrea

Reading Joni's quote reminded me of the first time I read her story at 14. I still remember how moved and humbled I felt. I'd been given so much. What was I going to do with it. What wonderful thoughts to instill in a young girl. God is good. Happy Thanksgiving, my friend.
I love it! "Just a quick jump over the tombstone and it's the body you've always dreamed of." No more pain! Yes!!!
Kat, I pray that you will have a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving and make many new and special memories. You have certainly been such a great blessing to me. Thank you.

Great post.

Have a blessed Thanksgiving Kat!

Kat, although I have no plans to rush the process, I too am looking forward to a body without pain. It will be so glorious for those who have walked in God's light to "know as we are known" and to spend the entirety of enternity singing praises to our God.
It's good to be back, even if just for a couple of days. Still have mucho, mucho to do.
God Bless,
Mimmy
Beautiful!! Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

I am missing you and praying for you Kat!
Looks like I wasn't the only that has been missing you..thinking of you and hoping you are absent just because you are busy. Take special care!
Missing you, praying for you, hope you are coping with whatever is doing at your place just now.
lotsa love!
I'm just thinking about what it'll be like shedding pain, self-consciousness, fatigue, and all the limitations of an earthly body. I look forward to the day when there are no more migraines! The ultimate healing!
Hi Kat...Just checking in since I haven't 'seen' you this week. Hope all is well!
You mentioned you would like to add Regret-Free Living to your library but you didn't leave an email address. I can't find it but I do have your mailing address so I am having the publisher send you a copy of the book. Looks like you haven't posted for awhile.
Okay girl...I am getting really worried. I love you and I am praying for you. HANG IN THERE!
HUGS AND LOTS OF PRAYERS, andrea
