Can Your Name Be Blotted Out of the Book of Life?

The most profound for God is the most simple for us. We won't be declared worthy by God because of our robe. We don't get it white by washing it. It's all by faith. Do you have all your rest and all your faith on Jesus Christ? Your salvation, what makes you worthy, is your faith in Jesus, not your works.

Jesus is still writing about our life today and your life. He's still writing because you are a Christian and you are the church! Are you part of the few names Jesus mentions at the closing part of the letter to the church in Sardis? Maybe this is why this book isn't often read.

When you worshiped the pagan gods in imperial Rome and you were excepted by the priest, or priestesses of those gods. You were given a white robe as a sign that you have been accepted so you can go further into the perversion that was happening in those places of worship. Do you ever notice how people get into weird stuff, they go deeper into more weirdness? Jesus was telling them He would give them a robe of righteousness that would never be soiled.

Ephesians 2:4-9 ~ "But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions - it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast."

Saved - in the original Greek, means that it's a done deal. It's past tense. We need to move forward now. Stop wishing that one day you might feel saved.

2 Timothy 3:14 ~ "But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you have learned it."

1 Timothy 4:16 ~ "Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers."

Acts 14:22 ~ "strengthening the disciples and encouraging them to remain true to the faith. "We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God," they said."

Did he encourage them to tithe more? To serve in children's ministry? No, to start making time to gather together as a church especially in these last days so we can encourage and strengthen one another in our faith.

Hebrews 10:25 ~ "Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another - and all the more as you see the Day approaching."

We need to make an effort to be more than Sunday Christians, not of us are that resilient to stand alone, we need to hang out with more Christians to gain strength and get strong.

When all hope seems to have slipped away, we must look to His approval. We only need to look to God, and no one else in this world for approval. Don't let the world determine your standards for living or self worth. They will always come up lacking and short.

Revelation 3:5 ~ "He who overcomes will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before my Father and his angels."

2 Corinthians 9:6-7 ~ "Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each man should give when he had decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."

What are you now planting for spring? Nothing? You'll get nothing. A little? You'll get a little. Some? You'll get some. A lot? You'll get a lot! We all want to hears the words, "Well done, good and faithful servant, enter in." when we arrive in Heaven. Not over easy, scrambled or sunny side up!

When all hope seems to have slipped away, we must rejoice in His promises that endure.  Ever have those moments when you open your Bible, and a verse speaks to you as though God put it there for you especially? Those are apples of gold from God in your life.

Revelation 3:5-6 ~ "He who overcomes will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before my Father and his angels. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches."

There was the Lydian Roll of Sardis, if you born under that Lydian Empire, your name was on that scroll. There was the Roman Registry of the Empire, and there is the Book of Life. Every human being who has ever lived, every one of you right here, reading this, from Adam and Eve to Now, you have been placed in the Book of Life. Every citizen of humanity! From Hitler to Charles Darwin. Your name is in there if you have been born in this world on earth. Every single one! Don't be confused by the Book of Life and the Lamb's Book of Life.

But there will be a "blotting out day" to come says the Bible. What keeps your name in the Book of Life, is if your name is written in the Lamb's Book of Life. If you don't know Jesus, your name will be blotted out and you will face an eternal death. Just like the Roman Empire, your citizenship will be stripped away and you will be judged. No good works will get you in the Lamb's Book of Life. ONLY believing in Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior.

All those who have been given life are recorded in the Book of Life. From the Book of Life, some names, it's not many names, that will be transferred over to the Lamb's Book of Life.

Revelation 21:27 ~ "Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful of deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life."

Revelation 20:15 ~ "If anyone's name was not found written in the Book of Life, he was thrown into the lake of fire."

Psalm 69:28 ~ "May they be blotted out of the Book of Life and not be listed with the righteous."

If you are reading this now, your name is written in the Book of Life, but if you want to get to heaven, you need your name copied over from the Book of Life to the Lamb's Book of Life. It's like saying, go to the Book of Life, highlight your name, go to Edit, then click Copy. Then go to the Lamb's Book of Life, go to Edit, then click Paste. If your name isn't copied over, it is your own doing. It will be deleted and blotted out, from the Book of Life forever. It makes you discern whether you are a Christian or not and that is the point. If you are a Christian, a true believer, than you will never be blotted out of the Lamb's Book of Life. Do you know Him as a personal Lord and Savior of your life.

In the Ancient Roman Empire, if you were tried and convicted of a "capital" offense, the judge would order your name removed from the Census or Registrar. And at that moment your citizenship was revoked, you were sold into the confines into the gladiators if you were a man and made to be part of their spectator sport, or you were then carried away to prison having no name. Please understand this, Jesus says, "I will confess his name (yours and mine) before my Father and His angels. When Jesus calls us, He calls us publicly!

Matthew 10:32-33 ~ "Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven. But whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him before my Father in heaven. "

Jesus places a public call on every heart. You may have done it privately, but one day you will tell someone of your faith. That is your public call. Your confession of faith in Jesus. Hearing your name in a crowd, hearing your name in a conversation, there will come a day when you will hear your name, and I will hear my name,

Revelation 1:4b-17 ~"I turned around to see the voice that was speaking to me. And when I turned I saw seven golden lampstands, and among the lampstands was someone "like a son of man." dressed in a robe reaching down the his feet and with a golden sash around his chest. His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire. His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of rushing waters. In his right hand he held seven stars, and out of his mouth came a sharp double-edged sword. His face was like the sun shining in all of its brilliance. When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he place his right hand on me and said:"Do not be afraid."

One day, Jesus will call us by name. He knows all about us. He will forgive you of your sins, by His sacrifice on the cross. He will stand proud before His Father and claim you as one of His own. Isn't that great?

Luke 10:20 ~ "However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven."

Hebrews 12:23 ~ "to the church of he firstborn, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God, the judge of all men, to the spirits of righteous men made perfect."

There is security in knowing that. Rejoice in that great news. What this must mean to us is this, the heart of the matter is this, how does a church die? When the people inside, fall asleep spiritually speaking.

Ephesians 5:14 ~ " for it is light that makes everything visible. This is why it is said: "Wake up, O sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you."

A sleepy pastor can kill a church, and/or sleepy Christians can kill a church! In the spiritual realm, I wonder what this church (our life) sounds like from the outside? Is there living worship spilling out on the streets? Or is there respectable, reverent silence that is interrupted by the occasional snore or twitch?

A personal passion, a personal explanation Is Your name written in the Book of Life and in the Lamb's Book of Life? Be afraid of those who can take your life and cast your life in hell. You can be in heaven based on what Jesus has done on the cross and you accept that, or you wind up in hell for what you neglected to receive into your own life. The Bible is perfectly clear, God sends no one to hell, they wind up their through their own choosing. Why would your name be blotted out? Only if you command it so.

Tomorrow we will take a look at the 6th church in the Book of Revelation!

What Will Be The Last Words You Will Ever Hear?

When you first read your Bible, which book did you start with? For me, it was the Book of Revelation. It was based on a movie I saw when I was in my teens, and I still remember how terrified I was after I saw it called Thief in the Night and it was about the Rapture. I was terrified for so many nights long afterwards, thinking I would wake up and my parents would be gone. Then as I entered high school I kind of fell away from God for a short time and found myself interested in the occult, witchcraft and ghosts. I was drawn to that sense of awe and power that existed, but never really made the same connection with God's power. Naturally I would be drawn into Bible Prophecy and End Times events and that is what initially drew me into church and the Book of Revelation. It was and continues to be my favorite book of the Bible. I mean who doesn't want to know how the world will end with 100% accuracy?

The Book of Revelation, reveals so much more than it appears to hide behind what many believe is symbolism. How scary to think what will happen when people get to the end of their life and face that Great White Throne Judgment of God and see what their future holds! Condemnation forever in Hell!

Matthew 7:21-23 ~ "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day, many will say to me, "Lord, Lord, did we not prophecy in your name, and cast out demons in your name and do many mighty works in your name?" And then will I declare to them, "I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness."

These words are the most terrifying final words you will ever hear as a non believer. There is a saying that if you are born twice, you will die once; but if you are born once, you will die twice. What this means is to be born twice, that is a physical and spiritual (born again) birth, the only death you will face might be physical death of your body, unless the Rapture happens. If you are only born once, physically, you will die twice both physically in your body and spiritually in hell.

You have to remember that salvation is a gift from God, not by anything we can accomplish.

Revelation 20:15 ~ "And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire."

You never came to Christ with your life, so you're name is blotted out from the book of life, despite how good you were in your life, what you've done. Without faith in Jesus Christ, there is no forgiveness of sin, and Jesus said, the wages of sin is death. Without Jesus' death and your belief that He came to die for your sin, you payment is then death! Spiritual and physical death in Hell. We are ALL sinners, in need of a Savior, and only through Jesus Christ, can that payment be made paid in full!

God's nature is love and forgiveness! He just wants man to say their sorry for their sins. It's been His intention all along to restore what Satan took from man in the Garden of Eden by disobeying God. It's not about what we do, it's about our willful intent to be disobedient to God and putting our will before His.

If you think you're going to heaven, based on who you think you are, you're never going to make it on your own merits.

There will be those who preached in the name of Jesus, did miracles in His name, cast out demons and even raised people from the dead, but because they never knew Jesus personally, they will be cast into hell forever.

Hell was created for Satan and his demons, not for humans. Humans have defaulted toward hell. God says call upon Him and you will be saved, what does man say? No! Jesus says, "Come to me and I will not turn you away ever and what does man say? "I'm going my own way!" The Bible says to bow your knee and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior, man says, "No! I'll do it my way! Jesus says, "I am the way, the truth and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through me, what does man say? "I'll create my own cult. I'll put something else out there and flood the market with it."

It's unbelievable. It's true. In the end their names will be blotted out of the Book of Life. Why? Because when the books are examined, their name is never found in the Lamb's Book of Life, they never belonged to Jesus Christ! They didn't put their faith in Christ. You have to repent from the way you've been doing things, ask Jesus for forgiveness of your sins, believe that He came to die for you and to forgive you of your sins, trust Christ and turn your life over to Him. Once you do that, your name is in the Lamb's Book of Life and it can never be blotted out of the Book of Life!

Don't ever let anyone tell you that you can lose your salvation. Once saved, always saved as long as you are saved through confessing your sins and putting your faith in what Jesus did. Your name is in the Lamb's Book of Life and no one is able to remove it!

How many people say they believe in God, but don't?
How many people confess it with their mouths, but don't?
How many people based on their conduct look like they do, but don't really believe in God?

How do you hear God's voice in your life? Is it loud, condemning and abrasive, something you fear? Or is it full of love and compassion?

Are you terrified that your name might not be in the Lamb's Book of Life or that it might be blotted out of the Book of Life. You're not really sure? If you died today, where would you go Heaven or Hell? If you don't know, you might not really be saved. Be sure. Know with absolute certainty that if you died today you would immediately go straight into the presence of Jesus, and avoid the Great White Throne Judgment altogether. Know that no matter what happens to you in this life, you'll be in heaven when you die for sure!

The Book of Life is the grand indictment of those humans who rejected God's gift, these will be removed, blotted out of the Book of Life.

Psalm 69:28 ~ "Let them be blotted out of the book of the living; let them not be enrolled among the righteous."

Exodus 32:33 ~ "But the Lord said to Moses, "Whoever has sinned against me, I will blot out of my book."

Revelation 22:19 ~ "and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book."

Revelation 17:8 ~ "The beast that you saw was, and is not, and is about to rise from the bottomless pit and go to destruction. And the dwellers on earth whose names have not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world will marvel to see the beast, because it was and is not and is to come."

Know today, that if you die, you will spend an eternity in heaven and not hell. The Bible is clear what will happen to those whose names are not found written in the Book of Life or the Lamb's Book of Life. You don't want the last words you hear to be "I never knew you, depart from me." Instead, trust in Jesus and in the end, you'll hear, "Well done, good and faithful servant, enter into the gates of heaven!"

What's the Difference Between the Book of Life and the Lamb's Book of Life?

No believer wants to be a part of the Great White Throne judgment, and as long as Jesus Christ is your Savior, you won't be. Everyone who stands before the Great White Throne is condemned to Hell. Every single one. You don't want to be a part of this event.

Everyone whose name is not found in the Lamb's Book of Life, will be standing before this Great White Throne. When people are born, their name is recorded in the Book of Life. It's God's record of every single person who has ever lived. But your name can be blotted out! What? How is that possible? When you're name is found in the Lamb's Book of Life, is can never be blotted out. That is what is important. It's what is meant when you are born again, a spiritual rebirth by claiming Jesus is the only way and He is your personal Lord and Savior.

The instant you make that confession of turning your life over to Jesus, your name is recorded in the Lamb's Book of Life and can never be blotted out from the Book of Life on the day of judgment. God can remove your past, secure your present and guarantee your future and all of this can happen in the instant you turn your life over to Jesus, ask for forgiveness of your sins, believe He came to earth as a man, to suffer and die on the cross for your sins, was raised from the dead and now awaits you in eternity if you simply ask Him to.

So what is your future look like if you don't? Let's see what the Bible has to say.

Revelation 20:11-15 ~ :"Then I saw a great white throne with him who was seated on it. From his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Than another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done. And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they had done. Then Death and Hades, were thrown into the lake of fire. And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he as throne into the lake of fire."

Does this concern you? It should as both believers and non believers alike! These people mentioned in these verses are physically dead, their bodies are dead, rejecting Jesus Christ and all He offered. They are now spiritually alive for this. That is why you, alone, are responsible for where you will spend an eternity. Only YOU! Everyone without Christ must stand before God at the Great White Throne.

Numbers 32:23 ~ "But if you will not do so, behold you have sinned against the LORD, and be sure your sin will find you out."

Jude 1:11-12 ~ "Woe to them! For they waked in the way of Cain and abandoned themselves for the sake of gain to Balaam's error and perished to Korah's rebellion. These are the hidden reefs at your love feasts, as they feast with you without fear, shepherds feeding themselves, waterless clouds swept along by winds, fruitless trees in late autumn, twice dead, uprooted;"

God will judge all those exposed by sin. You will stand before God with nothing to say.

John 5:22-23 ~ "The Father judges no one, but has given all judgment to the Son, that all may honor the Son, just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him."

Acts 10:42-43 ~ "And he commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that he is the one appointed by God to be judge of the living and the dead. To him all the prophets bear witness that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name."

2 Timothy 4:1 ~ "I charge you in the presence of God and of Jesus Christ, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom."

Psalm 2:12 ~ "Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish i the way, for his wrath is quickly kindled."

When you read that the Sea shall give up its dead, it refers to the body and soul however it may have died. Shark attack, cremation, organ donation, whatever. When God resurrects the body, both just and unjust, God will put us all back together molecule by molecule, wherever those molecules have gone.

John 5:28-29 ~ "Do not marvel at this for an hour is coming when all who are in the tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who have done good to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil to the resurrection of judgment. "

Revelation 20:13-14 ~ "And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they had done. Then Death and Hades, were thrown into the lake of fire."

When it refers to Hades, we need to realize that Hell right now is completely empty. There is no one there. Hades is a place of torment and a place of holding. There are people there that will be given up at the Great White Throne judgment. These are the condemned living in torment that have died prior to this happening, that are non believers. People don't go to hell until they have been judged.

There is a collection of books that God records all our thoughts, every sin we have ever committed, every motive, call them Books of Performance if you will. These are the " books referred to in this study of Scripture.

The Book of Life, just contains the name of every single person who have ever been born, but it can be blotted out.

There are Mormon's living today that can't wait for this moment, the Great White Throne Judgment, because they live for the day when their works will be judged by God. They truly believe that every good thing they've done will impress God so they will get into heaven, but they're being lied to.

In Hades, there are varying degrees of torment and suffering, those who aren't serial killers don't receive as much, but they are still in torment and suffering nonetheless. Trust me, no one wants to be there!

Revelation 20:15 ~ "And if anyone's name was not found in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire."

Every single human being who has ever lived is recorded in the Book of Life initially, but it can be blotted out. This doesn't mean you lose your salvation! Some people remain in the book of life until the very end.

The Lamb's Book of Life is for those who trust in Jesus, give their life to Him believing He is all He has said He is. The day you gave your life to Jesus, you're name is recorded in the Lamb's Book of Life and can not be blotted out ever! Nor can you name be blotted out from the Book of Life. This is the only way that your name can never be removed from the Book of Life. It has to appear in the Lamb's Book of Life and that is the names of all the believers in Jesus Christ for their salvation. This book only records the names of believers of Jesus Christ. It's those who trust and put their faith in Christ for their salvation.

More on this next week Tuesday!

A Price Will Have To Be Paid For Rejecting Jesus!

How does someone even inherit hell? There is only one answer, and that is to reject the salvation offer of Jesus Christ, everything else is simply sin. Trust me, you want to avoid the Great White Throne Judgment!

Do you like scary movies? I used to, and it seems the main reason why is that scary now is all too real all the time as believers. I now want to see something that will lighten my day. Remember that when we began this study into the Book of Revelation, I stated that this is the least taught book of the New Testament because (1) few have taken the time to understand it, and (2) some churches have eliminated this portion that people would be encouraged who read it. That is just wrong. Well, it's this chapter, that is the reason why...there is a day coming, according to the Bible, when God will judge all of humanity. The Bible tells us that we have to preach the full counsel of God, not just the parts that make you feel good. The Book of Revelation is by far, my favorite book of the Bible. Its wonderful news to those that accept and believe in everything Jesus has done, heaven awaits us. But for those that reject Jesus, there is judgment, a price to be paid. There is a real hell waiting.

Revelation 20, picks up at the Second Coming of Jesus Christ and the beginning of the Millennial reign of Christ with the coming Great White Throne Judgment.

For every one word that Jesus spoke about heaven, there are three words that He spoke about Hell. 1:3 ratio. He spoke more about it, than any of the 66 books of the Bible. Why would Jesus do that?

It was Jesus that would go to the cross.
It would be Jesus who would suffer.
It would be Jesus who was resurrected from the dead.
It will be Jesus, who at His name, every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that He is God.

If you die in this life, rejecting Jesus, shutting the door on His offer of salvation, the Bible promises that one day there will be a time to pay for that. A time when there will be a great courtroom, but no jury. There will be a prosecutor, but no public defender. There will be a Judge, but there will be no change to appeal. There will be a sentence, but no one will be able to pay the fine. It will be the Great White Throne Judgment of God and there will be no escape.

People chose to walk out whenever studies like this are preached from church pulpits, and in this portion of the Bible. They reject the fact that this is a real possibility, but they fight against the offer of Jesus' salvation every single day of their life.

Revelation 20:1-15 ~ " Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding in his hand the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain. And he seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years, and threw him into the pit, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he might not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were ended. After that he must be released for a little while.

"Then I saw thrones, and seated on them were those to whom the authority to judge was committed. Also I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads of their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection! Over such the second death has no power; but they will be priest of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him for a thousand years.

"And when the thousand years are ended, Satan will be released from his prison and will come out to deceived the nations that are at the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them for battle; their number is like the sand of the sea. And they marched up over the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city, but fire came down from heaven and consumed them, and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

"Then I saw a great white throne with him who was seated on it.

Remember that the false prophet and the Anti-Christ were the first to be thrown into the lake of fire. They've have been suffering in there now for a 1000 years, during the Millennial reign of Jesus. An angel is dispatched from heaven, and takes Satan and finds him with a chain and puts
him into the pit. There is no argument, no struggle, no war from him when this happens. Did you consider this? He is absolutely removed from influencing the earth during the 1000 year Millennial Reign of Christ. He can't say or influence anyone who lives into the Millennium.

This will be a time according to the book of Isaiah when God will extend the lifetime of humans, when they turn 100, they will be like children. It will be like in the Old Testament when human longevity happened. People will die of old age, but they will be really, really old. Not like now.

There will come a time when Satan is loosened for a time, and don't you wonder why God released Satan at all from the very beginning not just now? We know the answer! When he tempted Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, it was to be disobedient to God and he has been doing that ever since.

The Bible tells us that during the Millennial reign, even without Satan's influence, man's heart will still be filled with wickedness. They will turn on Christ at the end of the 1000 years. Hitler believed that by controlling man's race, he could obtain a perfect utopia. Karl Marx believed that by controlling man's social environment where everyone is treated the same, he could do the same thing and achieve perfection. Yet in all of it, man's heart is still depraved. It's not the environment and it's not the genes, the Bible says man is born with a sin nature. We sin because of our sin nature. It's in us!

Even if you've never committed one single sin, the Bible says if you even think about doing them, you're still sinning. God knows every thing we do, think and even what our motives are...He knows it all!!! There is nothing we can do to be sinless and impress God. Nothing we can do can fix that. We can NEVER be good enough or do enough to impress God and get to heaven on our own merits. Only Jesus can erase it all through our faith in HIM alone!!!

Is Your Name Written in the Lamb's Book of Life?

What do you imagine when you hear the word "Antichrist?" Do you imagine a man in a red suit, dressed up looking like the devil, red pointy ears, spiked tail, pitchfork in hand? The Antichrist that is coming will look nothing like that, in fact he will be the quintessential perfect politician. He is not Barack Obama, or Joe Biden for that matter. He will be brilliant in every way. A true show man to the world. When God created Lucifer, he was the most perfect of all God's created angels and I firmly believe that will carry over into what we will see in the man who rises up in the End Times during the Tribulation period. He would be someone you would say, that you could listen to all day!

Satan and his workers always show up in opposition to Christ and His ministry. Where do you find Satan at work to destroy? In churches, in Christian ministries, in works that matter, in worship. When problems occur in these places, it is designed to distract you while you are there. To get your mind off of these things in any way he can. You ever have your mind wander in the middle of a prayer or while listening to your pastor's sermon? Satan attacks the works of the church, hates Christians and is out to destroy you, to downplay the significance and importance of church and its ministers.

The coming of the Antichrist will become an evil event because of man's resistance to God.

Revelation 13:6 ~ "He opened his mouth to blaspheme God, and to slander his name and his dwelling place and those who live in heaven."

Satan is not omniscient but he can read the signs and trends. He has a lot of experience. Now ask yourself these questions.

1. Can he damage the God of heaven?
2. Can he defeat Jesus Christ?
3. Can he defile heaven itself?
4. Can he destroy the saved in heaven?

Absolutely NO! Then what is he doing it for? So that man will hate God, Jesus Christ and everything that has to do with them. He's been working really hard at it for more than 2000 plus years. It is not that the Antichrist will say anything new, but it is how he says it that will persuade those who hear him to believe it. He will come into a world that is ripe for him. The Bible says that mankind is a fallen race in need of being converted toward God.

Romans 3:20-23 ~ "Therefore no one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of sin. But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."

Every human has sinned, but we can have access to heaven by faith. To believe. It's called being saved, being born again, being redeemed. Every humans is born into sin, but a baby isn't held accountable for sin until they have knowledge of the law. They were born into a sinful nature. This is called the age of accountability. No one knows what that age is because it is different for everyone based on their maturity and understanding. If they died, they would go immediately into heaven.

Man is at war with God. It's in our hearts.

Acts 7:51 ~ "You stiff-necked people, with uncircumcised hearts and ears! You are just like your fathers:You always resist the Holy Spirit!"

You're resisting God and He loves you so much He died for you!!!

Romans 13:2 ~ "Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who so will bring judgment on themselves."

The very thing we need, we are fighting against ourselves. Stop resisting God about your life.

James 4:10 ~ "Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up."

You can try to lift yourself up (pride), and Satan will be happy to play on that.

Romans 5:8-10 ~ "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this" While we were sinners, Christ died for us. Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through him!"

We don't really hate ourselves, even though we think that sometimes. We're always thinking about ourselves, we're legends in our own minds. If we hated ourselves, we would be happy we're so miserable. The fact is that you don't.

It's like your grandfather deposited a bunch of money in a bank account for you, you only simply need to go get it.

Matthew 18:11 ~ "The Son of Man came to save that which was lost."

It will become an evil event because of man's hatred toward believers.

Revelation 13:7 ~ "He was given power to make war against the saints and to conquer them. And he was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation."

This verse does not apply to the church age, but applies to the believers living during the time of the Antichrist, these will be the Tribulation saints.

Daniel 7:21 ~ "As I watched, this horn was waging war against the saints and defeating them,"

Daniel 7:25 ~ "He will speak against the Most High and oppress his saints and try to change the set times and laws. The saints will be handed over to him for a time, times and a half a time."

Daniel 12:1 ` "At that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then. But at that time, your people - everyone whose name is found written in the book - will be delivered."

Daniel 12:7 ~ "The man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, lifted his right hand and his left hand toward heaven, and I heard him swear by him who lives forever, saying, "It will be for a time, times and a half a time. When the power of the holy people has been finally broken, all these things will be completed."

Because of man's rejection of the truth, it will become an evil event.

Revelation 13:8-10 ~ "All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast - all whose names have not been written in the book of life belonging to the Lamb that was slain from the creation of the world. He who has an ear, let him hear. If anyone is to go into captivity, into captivity he will go. If anyone is to be killed by the sword, with the sword he will be killed. This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of the saints."

Persecution is coming to us and it may take on physical forms, but it is easier to live for Jesus Christ than in the coming years ahead.

1 John 2:18 ~ "Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour."

1 John 2:22-23 ~ "Who is the liar? It is the man who denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a man is the antichrist - he denies the Father and the Son.  No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also."

1 John 4:3 ~ "but every spirit that does not acknowledge that Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have already heard is coming and even now is already in the world."

2 Thessalonians 2:11-12 ~ "For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness."

Is your name written in the Lamb's Book of Life? Can you say it with confidence?

You're here now, able to decide, able to choose, able to receive.

Hebrews 9:27-28 ~ "Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of the many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him."

Do you believe? Can you say with confidence today, "I'm trusting in Jesus Christ?"

If you call upon Jesus Christ, you will be saved!!!

How Can Your Name Be Blotted Out of the Book of Life?

Is Your Name in the Book of Life?

I remember growing up, whenever I got a book whether for a birthday or Christmas gift, the first thing I did was put my name in it. It was to show that it belonged to me. Now I cringe whenever I think about writing in any of my books, but now that is simply a personal preference.

There may be confusion as I was for so long about the difference between the Book of Life and the Lamb's Book of Life as well as the books, plural, that will be opened on the day of judgment which non believers in Jesus Christ will have to face, otherwise known as the Great White Throne Judgment.

Let's get started with the first one. The Book of Life, not the movie, but the one mentioned in the Bible.

Revelation 20:15 ~ "If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

Revelation 3:5 ~ "I will never blot out his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before my Father, and his angels."

Exodus 32:31-33 ~ " So Moses went back to the LORD and said, "Oh, what a great sin these people have committed! They have made themselves gods of gold. But now, please forgive their sin - but if not, then blot me out of the book you have written." The LORD replied to Moses, "Whoever has sinned against me I will blot out of my book." (NIV).

Psalm 69:27-28 ~ "Charge them with crime upon crime; do not let them share in your salvation. May they be blotted out of the book of life and not be listed with the righteous." (NIV).

Revelation 17:8 ~ :The beast, which you saw, once was, now is not, will come up out of the Abyss and go to his destruction. The inhabitants of earth whose names have not been written in the book of life from the creation of the world will be astonished when the see the beast, because he once as, now is not, and yet will come." (NIV).

Psalm 139:16 ~ "All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be." (NIV).

So we can be assured, that there is a Book of Life that the Bible mentions and your name can be removed from it, or blotted out. This is the book that every single person who has every lived from their creation in the Garden of Eden until the very end of the world is written when they come into being is written in the Book of Life. Yet it can be blotted out or removed when you make the choice to forgo following Jesus and instead make your own choice to follow in whatever path you make. Only by following Jesus will your name remain in the Book of Life.

The consequence for not having your name in the Book of Life is quite clear, in Revelation 20:15, "If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire." (NIV).

What this means is that God doesn't send anyone to Hell but we go by our own choice. Remember that. There are no second chances once you die and get to the Great White Throne Judgement.

So now let's look at what the Lamb's Book of Life is. When you have made a choice to follow Jesus Christ, as your Lord and Savior, your name is also written in the Lamb's Book of Life. Once it is written there, by your own choice again, it can NEVER be blotted out, despite what you may have been told. Once you are savED, notice past tense, you can't go back to being unsaved, if your salvation was genuine. You can fall away, back slide, whatever spin you put on it, but your salvation is assured. You just have to deal with Jesus at the Judgement Seat of Christ if you die in your backslidden state, but your salvation is assured. You don't want to try and get saved and then go back to your sinful ways, remember God knows your heart and knows what your true intentions are, so don't think you're going to trick Him.

But it does give the believer and follower of Jesus Christ, assurance and security that our name can NEVER be blotted out. You truly want your name in the Lamb's Book of Life. It's like Jesus personally keeping track of all His true followers so when we face our judgement, Jesus simply opens the book in front of His Father and says, Nope this one is mine. We belong to Him and we enter into Heaven.

Revelation 21:27 ~ "Nothing impure will ever enter it, not will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life."

Revelation 13:8 ~ "All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast - all whose names have NOT been written in the book of life belonging to the Lamb that was slain from the creation of the world." (NIV).

Luke 10:20 ~ "However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven." (NIV).

Malachi 3:16 ~ "Then those who feared the LORD talked with each other, and the LORD listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence concerning those who feared the LORD and honored his name." (NIV).

Just like in Ancient Rome, if you were a citizen of the Roman Empire, regardless of where you lived, your name was written on a scroll. This gave you all the benefits that were entitled to a citizen of Rome. However if you committed a crime against Rome, your name was removed or blotted out. You lost all your rights as a citizen of Rome.

But this is not the case with Jesus. Once He has captured your name in His Lamb's Book of Life, your name can never be blotted out or removed, no matter what you do. You belong to Him.

Matthew 10:32-33 ~ "Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge before my Father in Heaven. But whoever disowns me before men, I will disown before my Father in heaven." (NIV).

Jesus makes it pretty clear, that unless you follow Him and make a public declaration, You are not going to heaven. There is no greater advocate to have on your side when you die and stand before God, than Jesus. Once He opens the Book of Life and the Lamb's Book of Life, you want to make sure YOUR name is in there. There is NO other way. You can't earn your way to Heaven, You can't get there through any other god, but Jesus.

Jesus himself makes that 100% perfectly clear.

John 14:6 ~ "Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (NIV).

In the book of Revelation there are also other books mentioned.

Revelation 20:11-15 ~ "Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. And I saw the dad, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what he had done. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.: (NIV).

What these "books" are might be the records of everything you did in your life. All the times you were told about Jesus, and refused to accept him. Every thought you had, every word you ever said. It states it pretty clear that nothing we have done in our life on earth will be kept from God and we will face judgment for it. Remember that this judgment is not for the believer and follower of Christ. The following scripture is the end result of the believer and follower of Christ from 2 Corinthians 5 where Paul was sharing what awaits us when we get to heaven. This doesn't apply to non believers of Jesus.

2 Corinthians 5:10 ~ "For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad."(NIV).

We will face our own judgment with Jesus the very moment we die and enter into heaven as we stand before the judgment seat of Christ. Think of it like a court room with God as the judge and Jesus as our defender. No matter what the charges are against us, Jesus defends us, covered with His blood and God no longer sees that sin in our life. Pretty fantastic isn't it.

Time to make some decisions in your life. You won't have a second chance if you die today and don't know Jesus. You have been told, just reading this. So what will you do? Your eternal destination is really up to you. Choose Jesus and Know Life or Reject Jesus and No Life.
