Can We Lose Our Salvation?

All of God's children have the ability to believe. Every. Single. One. Of. Us.

A sovereign moment happens when God invites you to personally accept Jesus.

2 Corinthians 6: 1-2 (NIV) ~ " As God's fellow workers we urge you not to receive God's grace in vain. For he says, "In the time of my favor I have heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you." I tell you, now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of salvation. "

So can you lose your salvation?

The first question one must ask himself is "Do you HAVE His salvation?"

Are you really saved?

Because if you can say that you are, that absolutely NO! IF you have it! You can't lose your salvation IF you have it.

For there to be a possibility of being able to lose your salvation, there would first have to be the possibility of whatever God has done, to be undone.

Nowhere in Scripture do we see God undoing His promises, nor do we see Him disabling His ability to perform.

John 3:16 (NIV) ~ " For God so loved the world, that He GAVE his only begotten Son, that WHOSOEVER BELIEVES in Him, shall NOT perish but have life everlasting."

God offers no conditions for you to perform other than simply accepting His Son's sacrifice and believing it.

John 1:10-12 (NV) ~ "He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. Yet to all that RECEIVED him, to those who BELIEVED in his name, he GAVE the right to become children of God." (capitalization emphasis is mine).

John 10:27-29 (NIV) ~ "My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand. "

Have you heard God's voice in your life?

Realize this, God places you in the body of the church, God is the one who seals us for the Day of Redemption, and God is the one who keeps us to the very end.

You can't lose your salvation if you have it!

Are you a Christian?

Are you trusting Jesus Christ?

If given the choice to follow Jesus Christ, would you?

Can you say, you've heard His voice in your soul? He is calling me to pursue Him?

Then YOU are in the Father's Hand and Jesus' Hand. NO ONE can snatch you out of THEIR hands!

You CAN'T lose your salvation, IF you have it!

Romans 8:33-35, 37-39 (NIV) ~ "Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died - more than that, who was raised to life - is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

John 6:37 (NIV) ~ "All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me, I will never drive away."

John 5:24 (NIV) ~ "I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life."

Romans 11:29 (NIV) ~ " For God's gifts and his call are irrevocable."

2 Corinthians 1:22 (NIV) ~ "set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come."

1 John 5:13(NIV) ~ "I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life."

Philippians 1:6 (NIV) ~ "being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."

Can you say God has ever done a good work in your life? If you can say "Yes," God's been waiting for you to come back to Him. God always finished the projects He starts!!!

Am I Once Saved Always Saved?

It all depends on IF you are saved!

Show me where in the Bible you can be unsaved or unborn again? You can however be a spiritual couch potato!

Remember this God doesn't commit abortions in His family!

Are there any proofs to being saved?

Only those who are saved know it.

There is a group who are saved, but because of fear or timidity, they don't enjoy it and are always doubting their salvation. They're still trying to impress God. They're saved, just not happy Christians.

Simply walk and talk with God all day. Get involved in something greater than you.

Those that don't care about being saved, aren't.

Are you concerned about your walk with God? You can only be concerned about your walk if God is doing a walk in your heart.

Ezekiel 36:26-27 (NIV) ~ "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws."

When God gives us a new heart and new Spirit, He causes us to be different. God causes you to love what He loves.

2 Corinthians 5:16-17 (NIV) ~ "So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!"

If God has placed a seal on your life, it can't be taken away. Otherwise it doesn't have a real effect.

Ephesians 4:30 (NIV) ~ "And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption."

God has no yard sales, garage sales of giveaways. Man-made rules create a false perimeter.

Any wimp can be a non-believer, it's hard to be a real Christian.

So why do we struggle with knowing if we're saved?

Some of us receive it, while others struggle with is, because (1) there is a fear that if a person believes that they are securely saved, perhaps that person will see themselves as having the license to sin, or (2) they, will not care about serving God or being useful to God,  or (3) they don't want to endure or suffer with persecution. They won't stay strong in their faith when hard times come.

Remember it is not our business to try and manage another persons walk with God.

Any relationship with God that is based on manipulating God is not a Biblical relationship, but a lie.

It is the Holy Spirit's ministry that makes the person's salvation a reality.

"Those of us that are possessed by the Holy Spirit are at war with sin. We battle and resist and fight against the powers of lust, fear and doubt - but we win such battles more often than we lose. We are advancing ever onward. We cannot quit because it is no longer our desire to run away from God, but rather now, we run to God." ~ R.A. Torrey

So Do I Have to Keep Myself Saved?

When you sin, do you feel guilty now?

We do NOTHING, to keep our salvation, otherwise it's not about Him, it's about us.

Galatians 3:1 (NIV) "You foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? Before your very eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed as crucified."

Romans 8:28-31 (NIV) ~ "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified. What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?"

It should say if God is for us, who cares!

Sheep eat sheep food. Sheep are not goats. Goats are not sheep. Goats eat...

John 10:3b-5 (NIV) ~ "the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all of his own, he goes on ahead of the, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from Him because they do not recognize a stranger's voice."

Jude 1:24 (NIV) ~ "To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy."

Hebrews 7:25 (NIV) ~ "Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them."

So how rest in your salvation. Think of all Jesus has done for you. There are no do overs when it comes to the things God does. Rest in knowing that you are saved IF you are really saved. Stop doubting and enjoy this life God provided for you.

Excellent. One of the best proof verses I know is 1 Cor 6:17. if God can die, then we can lose our salvation. Since our Life is hid with Christ, who can find it? Who is strong enough to separate our spirits? Who can put asunder what God has joined together?
