Faith to move mountains!

Do you ever find yourself wondering how so many Biblical figures had faith to do what most of us would believe to be impossible things?

I know you all know about my medical issues right now. Here are some updates. I am still experiencing occasional pain which I can control with pain meds I have until they figure out why I am having it. My never ending diarrhea since last Sunday seems to be slowing down and I haven't had to take any anti-diarrhea meds since last night at 9:30pm. For me, going 12 hours plus is a major miracle. I was also able to sleep off and on for most of the night last night. Not the straight 6 hours I was praying for, but I think God has answered my prayers enough that I am giving all of this to Him and asking Him to be my Master Physician and guide my hands in the paths of those He sees confident to treat me.

I am also confident that God will take care of our financial needs even those hubbies job continues to threaten him to get back to work.

During the midst of this storm, God is teaching us, to rely on Him. Turn our eyes on Him, or risk sinking below those turbulent waters. Once we change our focus and what we are looking at, God will take us by the hand and lead us to calmer waters.

I spent time reading chapter 11 of Hebrews last night to experience how bad things got for some of God's people and how He brought them not only through it but out of it as well. Just when you think it's impossible to see your way through, change your perspective, lay your eyes on Him and He will lift you up and carry you if need be the rest of the way.

I am also cheating on my clear liquids a bit since I haven't had real food since Tuesday. I had some of the best watered down oatmeal this morning and some mashed potatoes for late lunch. I can tell you since Thursday, I have lost 8 pounds already.

This is not the weight loss diet you want to be on trust me! I am waiting to meet with my doctor as soon as I can but am hopeful there will be a cancellation tomorrow so we can meet before Tuesday.

Please continue to offer up prayers and leave comments to encourage me through this time. Scriptures are great as well cause I am writing them down and keeping them with me to offer with my prayers to God.

"I am confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong, and take heart and wait for the Lord."~ Psalm 27:13-14 (Thanks Lisa Shaw for that one!)

Kat,
I am so sorry you are fighting this battle. Know that we are storming the heavens in prayer for you and seeking to help move those mountains by prayer.
I am praising GOD for the little bit of relief you have and praying specifically for healing and answers.
Big hugs, prayers, and love, andrea

2 Corinithians 12:9.
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

I am the last person that understands why things happen the way they do. With your faith and trust in the good Lord, a way will be provided. Hang in there and I pray you can find a doctor that can help you. There are too many great medical doctors and procedures for you to continue going through what you are. Peace.

Praying for you Kat!
Isaiah 43:2

When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze.

My dad shared this verse today and it really struck a cord. Amazing how faithful He is and how He cares for all our needs.
Hugs,
Mimi

I know you're not at your best but I'm glad that you were able to get some sleep and were able to eat a little more solid. I know a lot of us are continuing to keep you in our prayers. Hang in there sister Kat and I'm glad that you remain focused on Him.
Psalm 103:2,3 - "2Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits- 3who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases..." God bless.

Isaiah 26:3-4

I'm standing with you dear friend in prayer and GOD is your Rock eternal. Trust in Him fully as you go through this and know that HE WILL DELIVER YOU OUT OF IT!! Hallelujah!

You must keep your mind stayed on Him so that He can keep you in His Perfect peace.

Pray His Word over yourself constantly. Speak His word aloud often. I do that as a regular part of my Christian walk and when hell rises up against me as I've been experiencing this week and as you have been going through for a while now, you'll be ready.

Call on the One who is your Peace and your Rock eternal. Jesus is with you.

I love you dearly. Praying for God's divine intervention on your health and well being and for your hubby's job.

Still praying for you, and did a post yesterday reminding others to continue to pray for you. The same verse that Mimi left for you came to my mind when I was reading what all you are still going through.

Jer. 33:3 "Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know."

...a promise that He is there and WILL never leave your side
...a promise He will share His knowledge with us when we are in relationship with Him and when we seek Him
...a promise of His omnipotence, omnipresence, all-knowing and that He loves us and will share His understanding with us
:) :) it deserves 2 smiles

I'm happy to hear you are improving. God is right there with you!
Here's a few of my favorite verses:
"Do not fear for I am with you, do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and hold you. I will guide you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10

When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you. When you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
you will not be burned. The flames will not set you ablaze. Isaiah 43:2

The same scripture, Isaiah 43:2, that Mari shared was one that I wanted to send your way. I'm glad that you are feeling a bit of relief. Good for you for checking yourself out of the hospital. I would've done the same thing.

I'm praying for your healing and also rest for you too.

Take care!

Prayers friend...

Love Hebrews 11 chapter. My dad once had a sermon he preached on that chapter. I about had it memorized. We called it the "Faith sermon." Keep the faith friend!

Hi Dear Friend,

I stopped in to say I LOVE YOU and I am praying for you, for an end to all of this illness, for God's divine intervention in a miraculous healing for you.

My heart aches for the physical pain that you have had to endure but I also rejoice in knowing that He has supplied you with some bouts of relief.

"Come to me all who are weary and I will give you rest."

Keeping you in my prayers today....

Psalm 103:2-5
'Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits-who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion. Who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.'

I guess we all just continue with baby steps. Steps of faith that lead us closer to God. Hope your pain slows down and answers are forth coming quickly.

Oh Kat, I am so sorry I have been so absent from blogland & missed your requests for prayer. I will begin praying for you again. Goodness, your post was such a blessing to me today too and I needed so badly to see what you wrote. Even in your distress you carry on His will. How wonderful is that? I pray that you are healed soon and can meet with a doctor quickly to figure out all this mess. Please continue to draw closer to Him, keep you faith strong. It was by their faith people were healed by Jesus. You can do it girl, we are all praying for you too.

Blessings and health to you, dear friend. I'm praying 1 Pet 5:10 for you.

And the God of Grace who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.

This has been my mainstay:
Habakkuk 3:17 Though the fig tree does not blossom and there is no fruit on the vines, [though] the product of the olive fails and the fields yield no food, though the flock is cut off from the fold and there are no cattle in the stalls 18 Yet I will rejoice in the Lord; I will exult in the [victorious] God of my salvation! 19 The Lord God is my Strength, my personal bravery, and my invincible army; He makes my feet like hinds' feet and will make me to walk [not to stand still in terror, but to walk] and make [spiritual] progress upon my high places [of trouble, suffering, or responsibility]! For the Chief Musician; with my stringed instruments.

I was just thinking of you when I saw your comment on my blog! The title of this post caught my eye because today at my Moms In Touch meeting we were praising God for being able to move mountains and to do the impossible.

Our scripture verse was Isaiah 40: 3-5. "A voice of one calling: 'In the desert prepare the way for the Lord; make straight in the wilderness a highway for our God. Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low; the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain. And the glory of the Lord will be revealed, and all mankind together will see it. For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.'"

I am praying for relief and healing for you!

Hugs, Love and Prayers, Leslie
