I woke up like I have every morning this week and today just wasn't happening for me. Pain has come once again to become my best friend. For those of you that don't know, I fell rollerskating on Saturday, cracked my tailbone and have spent the time since recuperating in bed, doctor's and hubby's strict orders.
I was told if I stayed in bed for the next 4 to 7 days off my tailbone, which means no sitting, I could probably be up and around again in that time frame. I was hoping today might be that day, but alas, my body has different plans.
So Kat at
Art's Chili was nice enough to keep me busy this morning with being tagged as part of a summer memory post. I was also tagged by Mich at her blog
Mich as well, so now my work is doubled. :) All in good fun. You are suppose to list 5 things you are going to miss about the summer. If you have made your way over to her blog, you will see the competition I am up against. So here goes..... what I will miss about summer:

Art's Chili for giving me this to do. It has not only brightened my day but made me realize just how much we have all done and how amazing the journey has been. It also reminds me I need to take many more pictures this year.
So now I pass the torch on to the following people and say, "Tag, your it!:

This is definitely a JOY to see! I loved it all. And I will share my joys on Friday, OK?
I already have another post planned for tomorrow to help a friend with a Bible study launch.
Many of your summer joys are mine too. Thank you for sharing even when you are under the weather.
God, grant Kat healing. I pray her pain goes away quickly. :) Thank you for using her right where she is at to encourage me. Bless her and her family with more summer joy!
Hugs and prayers,
Tiffany
What a lot of joy! I loved scrolling through all of these and sharing your joy. The sleeping cat picture is a classic!
I'm praying that you feel better soon.
Loved all those pics but not sure why my favorite one was.... "that pic where you keep your teen and you know where they are.." :)
Have a great rest of the summer and may the Lord heal your pain. Having a neck injury of my own, still hurts time to time...But I believe in the power of praying and to the One Who hears our petitions. Love you sister Kat!!!
Great pictures, Kat.
My oldest it Kaitlin, too. She will be 18 in Nov. One more thing we have in common!
Your caitlyn is gorgeous. I remember visiting many of those places when we went to California. I have a picture of me in toon town in the jail bars. And pictures of my hubby on the water rapids.
I am glad you had fun with it!
Kat
Kat, I hope you feel better soon. I loved all your pics, and reading about all the fun things. I see you will still miss skating? Prayers are with you for a great recovery. Blessings,
Oh what fun!!! This will be fun to do!! This summer has been a crazy one.
I hope you are feeling much better soon. Stay in bed and take it easy.
Have a Blessed evening,
Dawn
Kat tagged me, too. Wasn't this fun. I loved seeing your kids having so much fun and the beautiful kitty!
Hope you are better soon.
Sending prayers, hugs, and lots of love your way, andrea
Kat,
I'm glad I was able to get by and visit with you. Loved the photos that you shared of your family. Enjoyed the video at the top -- cute.
So sorry to hear that you fell!! I pray healing over you in the name of Jesus.
Rest...
Love you.

Great pictures, great post.
My favorite ones were those of the sleeping cat in the sink, and on the pillows!
The one with the huge padlock on it was great, together with the caption you put on it. So creative!
I am praying for how you will continue to fully recover. Last night as I was about to sleep, I prayed for you--specifically for complete healing of the crack in your tailbone, and that you will be as good as new when the time comes for you to be on your feet again.
I also want to thank you for your comments to my Cory post. This post is probably among the more important ones I have written. Having stormed the heavens together with other intercessors for our nation, I deeply feel the loss of a historical figure like Cory. I still have to find a place and time to express my grief before God.
Selfless leaders like her are sadly missing from our modern day history. She's the only one I know of, and the hundreds of thousands of common people standing in the stormy weather waited for the funeral cortege to pass by...flowers and candles that have been left in front of her residence in Quezon City...attest to the love that people have for her. Our nation has truly lost a mother who cares and who will fight for us.
It is time to wait upon God to see what He will do next.
Thank you for reading my post, caring, and showing interest.
Love
Lidj
Wow! You really did keep up the competition with Kat. It was all beautiful. I remembered much of it from reading about some of those times here. I am glad that you have shared your life with all of us. You are a wonderful person to get to know. By the way, I was going to tag you too, but I stopped by and saw that Kat and Mich beat me to it, so I will pass the tag on to someone else, rather than tag you again. :) Your pictures were just great Kat! Thanks for sharing them all! I bet this post took you forever! :)
Thanks to all of you priceless friends that have stopped by and left amazing comments.
Yes, I have used some of these pictures from previous posts in the past, and it also reminds me I need to seriously start taking a lot more of them.
It took me about 2 hours and help with hubby to bring my hard drive up which holds some of my older photos.
Looking forward to seeing those of you that I tagged just to see what you put together.
Love and Hugs ~ Kat
Kat,
This was AWESOME! what a wonderful summer you have had and so many good times!
I am so very sorry the pain has returned today! Let's just say it is the part where it gets worse before it's better and this is it!!!!
If you don't mind I am going to do this when I get home bc most of my pics are on the computer at home. I don't have many on this yet :) but I do look forward to doing this! It is fun!!! Help me not to forget ok :)
love you my friend.....keep you mind set to Phil 4:8 and not let yourself grow weary ok!!!! Praise the Lord even on your side
Absolutely worth a thousand words.....breathtaking.
My Kaitlin turned 16 on 8/2 and is driving herself all over. They just grow up to fast.
How are you posting on your back. Hope your not cheating. Take care of yourself and you'll heal faster.
Thanks for stopping by.
Wow, you've had one fantastic summer and it's not even over yet! I love that water ride. It's so much fun! I have been on it at Animal Kingdom in Florida.
I am sorry you hurt yourself and pray that you'll be on your feet soon. Just take it easy and don't rush it!
I forgot to add that we watch that too. I don't think I'd do well if someone was yelling at me either, lol. Not to mention I can't make most of that stuff, hehehe.
We really didn't care if Danny or Paula won (I had to ask my hubby as I forgot their names), but we were sort of rooting for Danny as he looks like our nephew!
I almost forgot to tell you that I am sorry you hurt yourself and pray you will recover quickly!
Oh my gosh!!! OK is there anything y'all haven't doen ove rthe years that you just can't wait to do next summer!!!
Hope the healing speeds up!
Thank you, you are very sweet!
Yes, I homeschooled my oldest all the way through graduation. He just finished his second year of college. I am still homeschooling our youngest.
They have been homeschooled from the beginning.
I can't believe it's August already!
Great pictures - I was looking for me and my girls in your Disneyland pictures - we live about 15-20 minutes away and have season passes - we have gone countless times this summer.. Looks to me you have had an awesome summer - hope your "tail" heals soon. Prayers to you.
Love,
Kelly
That was an impressive list! And I'm sitting her thinking "that only took her 2 hours???". Hahha, I think that would have taken me a weekend. :O) I love Moo in the sink. And the "playing dress up" photo was beautiful. Oh gosh, they were all beautiful.

Looks like someone's been having a great summer! Lots of fun pictures there. I'm totally jealous of the strawberries... I've been trying to grow them up here, but the deer get to them before they're done. I was hoping that Cletus would scare the deer away, but that hasn't happened yet. Drats.
Hi Kat,
Wow, that's quite a list. My favorite photo has to be THE ONE of your cat in the bathroom sink! As the owner of three cats that's a new one me.
I'm headed to the beach and I'm really not sure if I'll have net access. Sometimes we do and sometimes we don't. Regardless, I hope you feel better.
Blessings and prayers for a quick recovery!
