Thankful Thursday ~ September 3, 2009

Thursdays are always such a blessing. They remind us once a week to be grateful and give thanks for what we have received over the last 7 days. Sonya at Truth 4 the Journey has hosted Thankful Thursday for some time and I am thankful for the opportunity to contribute our blessings. If you are interested and wish to take part, click on Sonya's link and join in the weekly blessings.

1. I am thankful for a God that loves me despite all my shortcomings. That He sent His son to die for me so that I might have salvation through my belief in Him and what He did for me on that cross and rose again, that I know where my life will go once I leave this one. I will be spending that eternity with Him in heaven without a doubt. It is only by His grace that this is possible and something I don't deserve and can never earn my way into.

2. I am thankful for the many, many friends that I have met through the blogging world. I consider all of you my personal family members and that is how much I love and care for each and every one of you. You have definitely all blessed my life ten fold since I began blogging.

3. I am thankful that after today, aside for my mortgage, I am debt free and my husband still has a job. So, so many people no matter where they live are struggling with literally losing everything they own and find themselves out of work. I pray that they can all find their daily needs met through prayer and faith in God who will sustain them in all things.

4. I am thankful that my oldest daughter, Caitlyn is journeying to the mountains this weekend for her High School Bible Vacation Camp. I am praying that God uses this time in her life and he ministers to her on a personal level while she is there. I am hoping she finds her purpose through a calling of the Holy Spirit in her life and has a renewed sense of faith like never before, completely on fire and sold out to God. Please pray for her while she is gone Friday through Monday.

5. I am thankful that I have delivered all the school supplies I needed to my nephew, Josh due to a unique set of circumstances in being at the right place at the right time. Now I know that he can start school on Tuesday and have everything he needs.

This is so inspiring. My mind is swimming with all I am grateful for. Right now, I'm so grateful for my sweet daughter who teaches me so much about God's love without evening realizing it. She's 10. :-)

Someone was sharing with me a complaint about pay, and I gently reminded them that I know of people right here in our own little community that has been without jobs, both husband & wife, and they would be thrilled to have any kind of pay coming in. So, I'm with you, while I also do not have a debt with a mortgage or a car payment, I'm so extremely thankful and grateful. For there may very well come a time, that those words aren't true, and I would be in a different situation.

Love to YOU,
Yolanda

God is GREAT indeed! Come to think about it, if God wasn't in our lives then we wouldn't have much to be thankful for. It's all because of Him!

I also am thankful for finding such great people in the blog world.

And I can't forget about having the best job in the world. Being a stay-at-home mom is truly a blessing.

Hope you have nice Labor Day weekend.
