Calling For God's People to Wake Up!

So often when people hear the words of 2 Chronicles 7:14, "“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land,” we think it is talking about the nation of Israel, but if that is true, who are God's people? The Jews?

I believe it is referring to anyone who believes in Jesus Christ. We, are His people. Since 9/11, it is hard not to see the trending pattern of acceptance into things happening all around us. Who would have ever thought a man like Barack Hussein Obama would ever be president of this nation? Now more than ever since his almost 7 years in office, we have watched the trend towards acceptance of things happening in the Middle East, Muslims and Islam being condoned for their religious practices, while we watch untold beheadings by ISIS, terrorists organizations from all over, slowly permeated into this country while we sit idly by and do nothing.

Even the church in America is becoming drunk off the world's success and are falling into the deception of the world. Where was the church when prayer was being removed from our schools and the 10 commandments being taken out of our public buildings, when our support of Israel began to wane, when American citizens sit in Middle East countries being held against their will in prison and we do nothing.

There should be such a rise to action for believers in Jesus Christ to begin to move like never before in this nation. God is going to hold us accountable for what is happening in America today, because we have sat by, on our hands and did nothing to stop it. We need to stop looking to our leaders for them to act and begin right now, by praying for our own repentance against God. We have become that church in Revelation that was apathetic and did nothing while evil continued.

On this National Day of Prayer, we as a church need to WAKE UP! We need to spend time today in prayer and begin to ask for forgiveness for being so idle to the evil all around us. We need to pray for the biggest revival in this great nation. We need hearts turning back to Jesus and the only way that is going to happen is if the church begins to make the move. We need to stop procrastinating about our service to God and get moving, get busy.

The signs are all around us for setting the stage for the Tribulation period. If people aren't alarmed by televised beheadings by ISIS, how acceptable will they be when it begins to happen here to the Christians and believers in Jesus, because that day is coming, very soon.

Churches need to get busy preaching the Word of God, and stop trying to fit in to gain more members. We have forgotten its more about the content than the fancy packaging, but that is all this world is fixated on now, is the fancy packaging. It's what it looks like that matters.

We have Pastor Saheed who is in prison in Iran, an American citizen, who if Ronald Reagan was President would have already had him back home. Negotiating with Iran on a nuclear deal would NEVER be happening, our withdrawal of support of Israel would never be considered; and those ISIS beheadings would stop. 9/11 would have NEVER happened in this county with Reagan at the helm. He wasn't afraid to put his faith on the table, and the United States of America was never more blessed.

We need to pray for an Acts 12 moment for Pastor Saeed. He has spent 950 days locked away in a Iranian prison simply for his faith in Jesus. I hope he has radically changed lives of those prisoners and guards and they too have come to accept Jesus as their Savior. Yet what is this man doing, he is praying for America. We all need to be more committed to our faith like Pastor Saeed is.

NOW is the time for prayer. We, as believers in Jesus, have the most powerful weapon imaginable available to us, but we fail to use it as often as we should. Let us all begin somewhere today, and prayer for our own recommitment to Jesus. Let us repent of our sins and move toward a life more fulfilling of a believer. Let us continue to pray every day for our country, for our leaders, for our cities and neighborhoods, for our friends and family. Let the power of prayer be unleashed in a way it has never happened before. Let us all wake up from our slumber and pray to the Creator of The Universe, Jesus Christ, who can do all things, nothing is impossible. Everytime the people of Israel turned from God, blessings were removed and curses happened, but the minute they turned back to God and began to pray and ask for forgiveness of their sinful natures, God heard and healed their land.

NOW church, NOW is the time to pray. Please take some time today, get away by yourself and ask for repentance in Jesus Christ. Join with us all today, united in one heart, one mind, to pray for this country for God to hear our prayers and move like never before to stir the Holy Spirit into a revival for our nation. NOW is the time!

Lord Jesus,

We sit in humble adoration of Who You are! The Alpha and Omega, the Great I Am, Yahweh, The LORD of all Creation, and ask for you to forgive us today Lord, of simply forgetting about You, and becoming so involved in the world, our churches sit empty. Lord help heal our brokenness and turn our hearts back to You. LORD, there is nothing You can't do and we ask for the Holy Spirit to go out today in a rushing wind, and touch the lives of those prodigal believers and call them home. Lord, raise up such a faithful church presence in this land once again.

We ask that leaders in government offices, who have fallen away from their faith, come back now as never before. Send them dreams and visions of what is to come, if they don't turn back to You. Lord we know You can hear our prayers today, and Lord we ask that You be honored and glorified by them. Let them be a sweet sweet sound in Your ear today. We pray for strength and comfort for Pastor Saeed today. Lord if it is Your will, let him be released in a supernatural way so many will believe in You through what happens to him. Help us not to forget those brothers and sisters in Christ, that are facing death because of their belief in You. Strengthen them, comfort them, and give them a glimpse into heaven like Stephen before they die. Help us to pray always for them, and for You to heal this great nation for we ask this in Jesus Mighty Name ~ AMEN!!!

In God We Trust

In Psalms 33:12, "Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people he chose for His inheritance."

First of all, I apologize for the length of this post, but trust me when I say it is important for everyone to read it, whether you live in California or not. Oh how far we have fallen and continue in a downward spiral, but it is not too late to change our path. For those of us in California, I think we have forgotten how truly blessed we used to be. Consider these things that you may or may not have known about this once great state:

Used to the the 8th largest economic nation in the world, even though we are just a state. Now our state is broke and on the verge of becoming bankrupt.

Space Technology and Aviation was born in California. Doubt the achievements, visit Soaring Over California and see how wonderful we used to be.

1845-1851 it was said you could walk from Mexico or Canada by firelight to California thanks to the Gold Rush. It changed the economy and created the gold standard in the world.

The Silicon Valley was born in California, now it has moved to Israel.

The Pentecostal Movement began in Azusa, California.

The movie industry used to boast about being something, now they are turning out more and more questionable movies.

Father Serra established 21 missions from San Diego to San Francisco along the coast of California.

You can find the Kings Highway which includes portions of Highway 101, California State Route 1, Route 82 in San Francisco and S11 in San Diego. This was named the Royal Highway which later changed the name to Kings Highway to link the many missions and towns along the way.

Los Angeles, the name means City of Angels. Oh how far we have fallen even today. There used to be a time when things were closed on Sundays because so many people observed that day as being a day where people attended church and spent time observing the day of rest.

The Salinas Valley is considered the Salad Bowl of the World because so much of our agriculture comes from California. Think about that the next time you're sitting in another state and wonder how this impacts you. It does, all your salad ingredients, broccoli, almonds and oranges come from California. Our greatest wines come from the vineyards of California.

What used to be a blessed nation is now, falling away under what I believe could very well be the judgement of God. .Don't believe me check out what God's Word says will happen for nations that are obedient to Him.

Deuteronomy 28:1-14 "If you fully obey the LORD your God and carefully follow the commands I give you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations on the earth. All these blessings will come upon you and accompany you if your obey the LORD your God.

You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country. The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock - the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks. Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed. You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.

The LORD will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at your from one direction but flee from you in seven. The LORD will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The LORD your God will bless you in the land he is giving you.

The LORD will establish you are his holy people, as he promised you on oath, if you keep the commands of the LORD your God and walk in his ways. Then all the peoples on earth will see that you are called by the name of the LORD, and they will fear you. The LORD will grant you abundant prosperity - in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your ground - in the land he swore to your forefathers to give you.

The LORD will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. The LORD will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the LORD your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never the bottom. Do not turn aside from any of the commands I give you today, to the right or to the left, following other gods and serving them."

Sounds great right, but have we maintained that standard, keeping God and His laws first and foremost. I mean there is nothing that can happen right. Perhaps you should check again to see what happens when we begin to compromise and make concessions on God's truth when a nation disobeys. You just might see a lot of what is happening to California happening right before your eyes and wonder why. It's not global warning, it's God lifting up His hand of protection He has promised for those who obey Him and instead is letting curses fall upon us for disobedience.

Deuteronomy 28: 15-24 "However, if you do not obey the LORD your God,and do not carefully follow all his commands and decrees I am giving you today, all these curses will come upon you and overtake you.

You will be cursed in the city and cursed in the country. (Violence) Your basket and your kneading trough will be cursed.

The fruit of your womb will be cursed, and the crops of your land, and the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks. You will be cursed when you come in and cursed when you go out.

The LORD will send on you curses, confusion and frustration in everything you put your hand to, until you are destroyed and come to sudden ruin because of the evil you have done in forsaking him. The LORD will plague you will diseases until he has destroyed you from the land you are entering to possess.

The LORD will strike you with wasting disease, with fever and inflammation, with scorching heat and drought, with blight and mildew, which will plague you until you perish. The sky over your head will be bronze, the ground beneath you iron. The LORD will turn the rain from your country into dust and powder; it will come down from the skies until you are destroyed."

Verse 43, "The alien who lives among you will rise above you higher and higher, but you will sink lower and lower. He will lend to you, but you will not lend to you. He will be the head, but you will be the tail. "

So what can we do to change things?

Simple, just like the city of Nineveh did, we need to turn back to God. Trust in Him in our obedience to His Word as believers and intercede for this state. We need rain. There is no denying that. God can easily make it rain here and we need believers everywhere to begin praying for rain in California again. That we repent of our disobedience to God and prayer for healing in this once great state. God is willing to stay His judgment, but if we continue, things will only get worse.

2 Chronicles 7:14, "if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land."

It's never too late to trust in God.

Living in the Last Days?

Turn on the news or pick up a newspaper and you probably aren't surprised by all the events going on around us. From countries like Iran who deny the Holocaust ever happened and instead wish to do all it can to ensure that Israel and any country that supports her, is wiped off the face of the map. Countries like South Korea and Iran testing long range weapons, groups like ISIS targeting Christians and beheading them in mass groups.

Being here in America, the land once blessed beyond measure, I cringe when I see what our appointed leader does in the face of all this adversity, he simply looks the other way. While I can certainly fault him for his actions, he isn't working alone. There are so many supporters who love the way things are going. Never in history have we been able to look around and see things that our forefathers would literally shake their heads at.

From Islamic terrorist groups abiding on US soil in training camps while our current government monitors the situation because they aren't doing anything against the law and they haven't been labeled as terrorist groups? Seriously?

When we can look at our supposed American president make allies with countries that support Muslim ways, and their terrorist ties like the Muslim Brotherhood. Where we can watch our troops go into third world countries only to be abandoned by the very country they serve when things go south like Benghazi while everyone claims there was nothing to do because they were notified too late.

Is it any wonder that I happened upon this passage during my morning devotions?

It is from Numbers 14 when the people were beginning to complain about waiting to enter the promised land of God filled with milk and honey. They wanted to believe what ten men said about their opinions when they went into the land and bring back a report on what they found, instead of listening to what Caleb and Joshua said.

"The land we passed through and explored is exceedingly good. If the Lord is pleased with us, he will lead us into that land, a land flowing with milk and honey, and will give it to us. Only do not rebel against the Lord. And do not be afraid of the people of the land, because we will devour them. Their protection is gone, but the Lord is with us. Do not be afraid of them."

But the whole assembly talked about stoning them. Then the glory of the Lord appeared at the tent of meeting to all the Israelites. The Lord said to Moses, "How long will these people treat me with contempt? How long will they refuse to believe in me, in spite of all the signs I have performed among them? I will strike them down with a plague and destroy them, but I will make you into a nation greater and stronger than they." Numbers 14: 7-12.

If you look at America, which WAS founded on Christian principles, we have turned out backs on God. It has been a slow progression, but we are watching as God is slowly removing His hand of protection against this once great nation, filled with the many blessings we once held dear. We have simply asked God to take a seat for awhile while we do things our own way, right a few wrongs in our own lives first.

We don't want to be reminded that God's got some conditions for right living, so we remove those from places were corruption and sin now runs rampant, from our government offices, courts, and schools. We begin to change the laws to make everyone feel accepted instead of holding true to the truths of God's law. We have redefined His definition of marriage and family and one by one states are overturning traditional marriage standards.

Since 2001 when terror first hit home on our own soil during 9/11, have things gotten better or looking around you today, would you say things are worse?

I used to believe that in the last days during the book of Revelation when it talked about people being martyred for their faith and beheaded, they were referring to a prophetic event to happen when Christians were raptured and the Antichrist came into power, but honestly, it is happening right before our eyes and we do NOTHING to stop it.

When Israel's Prime Minister comes to speak in the House of Congress and Democrats, some Republicans but even worse our own president, don't even show up, is it any wonder that America isn't mentioned at all during the end time prophecy? I can only pray that this sleeping giant will wake up and take back the foundations that we once held dear. I pray for people to begin to make movements to stand up for our faith despite what the minority would have you believe and ask God, 'Lord, please hear this prayer and heal our hearts, and our land. Lord, please help us turn back to Your Ways, and forgive us for being a selfish people. We pray to You Lord God, to help restore us and help us to walk in our faith and bring healing back to our nation and turn our hearts back to You! In Jesus Name, we pray.

Lord, please look upon the hearts of your people even now Lord. Help us to know what to do to bring healing back to this great nation. Help us to remove people from office that are corrupt and want to walk in the path that is wide and filled with evil. Lord help us to appoint righteous women and men who will uphold your standards and your laws and give them boldness even now to begin to make changes on small levels. Rally us to hear your cry Lord, but don't abandon us. Lord, help guide us on the narrow path and heal our hearts and minds and let us stand by You and Israel now as the crisis in the world begins to dim. Help us Lord Jesus! In Your mighty and powerful name, AMEN!!!

I think now is the time for the world to rally to bring about the greatest revival in history before it's too late. Help us all to have the same passion as Israel's Prime Minister to stand firm in the face of adversity and evil and may God grant us all the power to do what we can in our own homes, communities and churches. It's time for Christians to wake up!
