Judgment Comes in An Hour

We serve a God who is always there, anytime, day or night. We can call upon Him whenever we need to. Today, we find ourselves close to wrapping up the final moments of the Tribulation judgment that is coming to the world and God is still calling out to us, wishing none should perish. The patience of the LORD whether Old Testament or New Testament is beyond remarkable. His enduring mercy and grace and love for His people is amazing. It will run its course however when He deems it so, much like the door on the Ark for Noah. God extends His grace and mercy to us every single day, but He won't wait forever for you.

Revelation 18:5 ~ ""for her sins are heaped high as heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities."

This the most remarkable verse and speaks of something ancient, something current, something futuristic and it is an amazing verse. The meters been running since the creation of the tower of Babel. The sin has finally reached God's breaking point and He finally says, "Enough is enough. "Reached" her sins have been laid one upon another until a great tower has been made. It is like when you overload the circuits in your home and the circuit breaker is tripped. You don't have any more electricity until you reset it.

The sin of humanity from the beginning of the tower of Babel has reached the end of God's mercy and God is saying, "No more!" His judgment will come, make no mistake about it. Don't think because God hasn't judged you from the way you've been living your life apart from Him as acceptance because nothing bad has happened to you. That is simply His grace, love and mercy for you, hoping you'll turn to Him before His patience with you runs out and the only way to correct your bad behavior is punishment. Its the same way parents discipline their own children. Why wouldn't God care enough about us to get us back on track? Don't wait thinking you still have time to turn to God one day while you continue to live your life apart from Him. You might just wind up like Pharaoh and God will harden your willful, sinful heart and you won't be able to make that choice because you denied Him for far too long.

You'll know when you are born again, because it is something that God does. You don't have to change your own life to be a Christian. We don't become holy by our works, but in trusting in the power of Christ. God will begin to clean your house, your mind, your heart, one room at a time. And the older we get, there comes a time when He discovers rooms in our life that we have padlocked. He has to take that Hazmat suit and power washer and really get to those places in our life, we had hoped He might just overlook. That is what it means to grow spiritually old in the Lord. All we have to do is present ourselves to Him. He'll take over from there.

Genesis 11:3-4 ~ "And they said to one another, "Come, let us make bricks, and burn them thoroughly." And they had brick for stone, and bitumen for mortar. Then they said,'Come, let us build ourselves a city and a tower with its top in the heavens, and let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be dispersed over the face of the whole earth."

They had begun to build a tower of sin! What was their sin?

Revelation 18:2-3, 24 ~ "And he called out with a mighty voice, "Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great! She has become a dwelling place for demons, a haunt for every unclean spirit, a haunt for every unclean bird, a haunt for every unclean and detestable beast. For all nations have drunk the wine of the passion of her sexual immorality, and the kings of the earth have committed immorality with her, and the merchants of the earth have grown rich from the power of her luxurious living. And in her was found the blood of prophets and of saints, and of all who have been slain on earth."

Its the love that is devoted to that thing or system that brings it about. The Babylonian system, rather than giving God the glory, is a worship system of the earth. Babylon will come to know that God is just to the unbeliever because they'll have their reward.

Revelation 18:6 ~ "Pay her back as she herself has paid back others, and repay her double for her deeds; mix a double portion for her in the cup she mixed."

God says to take the cup of the woman who is riding the beast, mix it up, doubly strong. That's the wrath that I'm going to give her. This Babylonian system will reap what it sows and Babylon will come to know destruction.

Revelation 18:7-8 ~"As she glorified herself and lived in luxury, so give her a like measure of torment and mourning, since in her heart she says, I sit as a queen. I am no widow, and mourning I shall never see. For this reason her plagues will come in a single day, death and mourning and famine, and she will be burned up with fire; for mighty is the Lord God who has judged her."

We already know that according to Jeremiah 44, she has declared herself to be the Queen of Heaven. It will be destroyed because it will be a system without God. Remember the worship of Nimrod, Semiramis and Tammuz in Jeremiah's day, promised prosperity. It's a dangerous thing to be self sufficient. When you see yourself like Nebuchadnezzar, when he proclaimed to the city, "IS this not the great city of Babylon that I have created?!!" In Daniel, God judged his arrogance and pride and he spent 7 years without a kingdom living like an idiot among the animals. Only after 7 years did God have mercy on him and restored him to King again. Then He realized that he needed to give God the glory and that is when you can see the real attitude change that being humble had on him.

When the Lord is in it, you love where God has placed you. You can't wait to get there. When He is not, everything is difficult, and it becomes judgment from God. We know in the Tribulation Period, this city will be greater than any city in the world. It will be utopia, heaven on earth for those who see it and dwell there in their own eyes. But since it doesn't have God in it, it will face destruction.

Isaiah 47:1,5, 7-9 ~ "Come down and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon; sit on the ground without a throe, O daughter of the Chaldeans! For you shall be no more be called tender and delicate. Sit in silence, and go into darkness, O daughter of the Chaldeans; for you shall no more be called the mistress of kingdoms. You said, "I shall be mistress forever, so that you did not lay these things to heart or remember their end. Now therefore hear this, you lover of pleasures, who sit securely, who say in your heart, I am, and there is no one besides me; I shall not sit as a widow or know the loss of children." These two things shall come to you in a moment, in one day; the loss of children or widowhood shall come upon you in full measure, in spite of your many sorceries and the great power of your enchantments."

This woman, Babylon, is going to have another son, the antichrist.

2 Thessalonians 2:4 ~" who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God."

Matthew 24:15 ~ "So when you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand),"

Matthew 4:8-9 ~ "Again the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. And he said to him, "All these I will give you, if you will fall down and worship me."

Babylon will come to know destruction and will be destroyed because she has led the world astray.

Revelation 18:8 ~ "For this reason her plagues will come in a single day, death and mourning and famine, and she will be burned up with fire; for mighty is the Lord God who has judged her."

This is all going to happen in one single day.

Remember 9/11 and everything that happened that day, it all took place in a couple of hours. Prior to this day, we never imagined how things could happen suddenly to change our world in a matter of under 2 hours. If man can do this in a couple of hours, imagine what God will be able to do in one single hour!

America is hated for supporting Israel! That is why Jihad began in 1990, despite what they would have you believe, to bring us down financially from being able to support Israel. Why? Because according to the Qu'ran, Allah can't capture the earth as long as Israel exists. Did you know that?

There is no promise given to America to succeed or fail, but there is a promise to Israel, that it should never again be uprooted from its land, says God from the Bible. This is the agenda today. It's all about Israel and destroying those who support her. Israel must stand alone in the last days. (Ezekiel 36-38). All the nations of the world will condemn a Russian-led attack by its Islamic neighbors according to Ezekiel 38. It might be by a UN resolution. That coalition will come down from the north to swoop down on Israel in the last days and it will fail! God said, I will not let my people be destroyed.

Revelation 18:8-9, 17, 19 ~ "For this reason her plagues will come in a single day, death and mourning and famine, and she will be burned up with fire; for mighty is the Lord God who has judged her. And the kings of the earth, who committed sexual immorality and lived in luxury with her, will weep and wail over her when they see the smoke of her burning. For in a single hour all this wealth has been laid waste. And all shipmasters and seafaring men, sailors and all whose trade is on the sea, stood far off...And they threw dust on their heads as they wept and mourned, crying out, Alas, alas, for the great city where all who had ships at sea grew rich by her wealth! For in a single hour she has been lad waste."

On 9/11 people were told who were still in the buildings of the Twin Towers, that the fire department would not be able to reach them, as we have heard in the stories of those who communicated this by phone to family and friends. So what do you do in that hour? You tell them about Jesus, like one man named Al did. Makes you wonder how many people went to heaven that day by making their decision to accept Jesus in that final hour. We believe in a God who moves in a split second. God further asked one man in a Century 21 building to stop fleeing that day and instead go back in the shadow of his building and begin to pray for each person who jumped that day. Why? Because judgment can come in a single hour.

What will you do with yours?

How Will God Get YOUR Attention?

When you were a child growing up and your parent called, the first time they called you, we mostly ignored it. Even after the second time, we might stir but we didn't move, until they generally called you by your first, middle and last names. We knew we have to stop and drop whatever we were doing and run, not walk to our parents. Hoping when we arrived, out of breath, they might grant us leniency when we stood at their feet, but often times, what we heard was, "Didn't you hear me calling you?"

What did we say? Most of the time, it was something to try to justify why we didn't respond the first or second time, even though we knew to tell the truth might unless holy terror on us by our parents. Can you imagine the outcome if you were truthful?

"I heard you but I didn't want to come. I was hoping you might just give up calling for me, and I could continue doing what I wanted."

Yeah, not sure how successful that would be. I'm thinking punishment would immediately ensue repeatedly to our backside at that point.

When you look around at the current state of things happening in America, or even the world. What gets your attention?

Is it human trafficking? Is it murders happening to those who don't deserve it? Is it the state of our economy or the status of our financial futures on Wall Street?

Is it the state of our health care crisis or finding a cure for cancer?

What makes you stop EVERYTHING you are currently doing, like your parents using your FULL NAME, like we all did on September 11, 2001?

Is that what it takes for you to stop, to listen, to see, to understand, what is happening?

It's not like it wasn't something that happened on the spur of the moment. It took a long time planning for everything to click like it did. But we ignored the signs. We refused to see what was happening right in front of us. We didn't like what was on the news, and  how easy it is for us to turn it off, when we don't like the message.

Are you getting convicted yet? Is there a stirring in your soul?

Why is it that we don't see what is happening all around us again? Why don't we hear the cries of people all around us asking for help? Why with logical educated brains, don't we understand what is happening?

""Be ever hearing, but never understanding; be ever seeing, but never perceiving. Make the heart of this people calloused; make their ears dull and close their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn and be healed." ~ Isaiah 6"9b-10 NIV.

The Bible speaks of a time when God called Isaiah to go forth and warn the people of Israel, who had grown apathetic, complacent, and without any regard for God any longer because His truths were getting in the way of what they wanted to do.

Does this sound like any place or anyone you know?

It reminds me of a line from A Few Good Men, spoken by Jack Nicholson's character, "You can't handle the truth!!!"

The reason people don't want to listen to what God has to say any more, the reason they want prayer out of the schools, the 10 Commandments removed from the government offices, crosses and nativity scenes removed from any public place, even any reference to Jesus Christ, from Christmas to Easter, is all about removing and stripping away the very truth, the absolute truth because it judges what we are doing and calls it WRONG.

I've even read through social media that the New York Times who claims the way to fix what is wrong in America and the world is to rewrite the Bible. Calling it outdated and in need of updating to apply to the world we are living in today. Really? Even Kanae West is rewriting the Bible to take out all references to God and replacing it with Kanae's name? God has a warning on that before you even think about it, Revelation 22:18 -19, "I warn everyone who hears the words of prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. And if anyone takes away words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book."

"Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter. Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and clever in their own sight. Woe to those who are heroes at drinking wine and champions at mixing drinks, who acquit the guilty for a bribe, but deny justice to the innocent. Therefore, as tongues of fire lick up straw and as dry grass sinks down in the flames, so their roots will decay and their flowers blow away like dust; for they have rejected the law of the LORD Almighty and spurned the word of the Holy One of Israel." ~ Isaiah 5: 20-24 NIV.

God is calling out right now for his church to respond, people of faith without labels, not our leaders, the government or presidents. God is calling for us to wake up before it's too late. Before another 9/11 happens on a greater scale to this blessed country of ours. The church, that is YOU if you believe in God, needs to repent. We need to stop letting things happen that we know are wrong in God's eyes. We need to ask for His forgiveness and turn our hearts back to Him.

What will happen if we do?

The Bible tells us in 2 Chronicles 7:14, "If my people, you are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land."

What will happen if we don't?

"Therefore, the LORD's anger burns against his people; his hand is raised and he strikes them down. The mountains shake, and the dead bodies are like refuse in the streets. Yet for all of this, his anger is not turned away, his hand is still upraised. He lifts up a banner for the distant nations, he whistles for those at the ends of the earth. Here they come, swiftly and speedily! Not one of them grows tired or stumbles, not one slumbers or sleeps; not a belt is loosened at the waist, not a sandal thong is broken. Their arrows are sharp, all their bows are strung; their horses hoofs seem like flint, their chariot wheels like a whirlwind. Their roar is like that of a lion, they roar like young lions; they growl as they seize their prey and carry it off with no one to rescue. In that day they will roar over it like the roaring of the sea. And if one looks at the land, he will see darkness and distress; even the light will be darkened by the clouds." ~ Isaiah 5: 25-30.

God is merciful and his patience is truly amazing, but God will not withhold His judgment for a nation that willfully shakes their fist at him, saying, "We don't need YOU God!!!"

If God loves us, He'll let what happened to Israel, happen to America. The future of America is in God's House.

May we all come before God as a united body of believers and when God asks, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?

Let us all say, "Here I am, Lord, send me!!

May we get caught being about our fathers business when Jesus returns for His church. We don't want to be here when He unleashes His punishment on those who reject Him.

Something Wicked This Way Comes!

Harbinger as defined by Webster's dictionary means a person or thing that announces or signals the approach of another. God is speaking but are we listening to what He is trying to tell us?

I've been doing quite a study on the end times and where we, as a nation, are headed. It seems that our country is sliding further and further into moral decline and it's happening while we are passively sitting back and letting it happen. What can we do? What are the signs of the times? Are they really that significant or is this simply a difficult time and it will pass?

The parallels between Israel and America are chilling. In fact if you take a look at Israel's history, you might be surprised at just how in sync the two countries are and why now, America's leaders are pulling away from their support of Israel, the tiny country that has had the Hand of God covering it since the creation of the world and why any country that allies itself with Israel and follows the ways of God will be blessed.

Looking back we can see Israel's own destruction and arrogance when they felt they could defy God and take control of their country without God's help. God allowed it to happen with signs that if they simply would turn back God would heal their land. But did they listen? No and thus Jerusalem was destroyed by the Assyrians and the Israelites were scattered upon the four corners. It was only in 1948 that Israel became a great nation again and in 1967, after the six day war, Israel gained Jerusalem back as their capital. So what that's ancient history right?

Look at America, and it's foundations. We were founded on Christian principles and those principals have slowly been eroded from our country bit by bit. When 9/11 struck this country it was the first sign of things to come as our country was slowly attacked by terrorists from the Middle East, much like Ancient Israel was attacked by the Assyrians who came from the Middle East. We failed to heed the warning.

We cannot simply keep pushing God out of our lives, being prideful and arrogant and think He will continue to without His judgement from the earth. We can not continue to live our lives thinking there will be no consequence. When we removed prayer and God from government buildings, courts and schools, we have have more violence than ever before happening in our schools. Coincidence? I don't think so.

God is speaking loud and clear and this country and it's leaders continue to shoot out to Him, "No thanks God, we got this. We don't need you to interfere."

Look at the parallels again between Israel and America:

The Israelites at one time sacrificed their children to the gods of Moloch and Baal. (2 Chr. 28:3, 33:6; Jer. 7:31, 19:2–6). We too, have sacrificed our children as more than 6 million of unborn babies are sacrificed through abortion centers.

Looking back at the prophecy of Isaiah 9:10 "The bricks have fallen, but we will build [all the better] with hewn stones; the sycamores have been cut down, but we will put [costlier] cedars in their place.

It was uttered by the Israelites who felt that they didn't need God's help to rebuild their city when the walls fell. They were going to make it better than it was before. They refused to turn to God and repent. Verse 11 - 12, picks up what happened next, "Therefore the Lord has stirred up the adversaries [the Assyrians] of Rezin [king of Syria]...and they will devour Israel with an open mouth. For all this, [God's} anger is not turned away, but His hand is still stretched out in judgement.

In the same way when our twin towers fell on September 11, 2001, we became a nation of defiance. We refused to turn back to God and instead took it upon ourselves to rebuild the site of 9/11 in an act of defiant spirit.

Two of America's leaders at that time, John Edwards and Tom Daschal both uttered the scripture of judgement on our country, picking out of all the scriptures in the Bible, Isaiah 9:10.

What we have done in essence is pushed God out of the equation and taken it upon ourselves to do things our way. We have pushed out marriage as God has established it and created what works for us, we have removed God from schools and government so we can feel good about what we are doing as a country. We have watched as our economy continues to struggle after 2008's great recession where our foundations were laid bare and our economic stability fell and has yet to recover.

Yet we still fly our unwillingness to repent thinking we can fix this. If we as a country continue in this act of defiance, we will the see the judgements of God continue to fall. We don't want to see what happened to Jerusalem and Israel happen to the US. God is revealing His signs all around and yet many refuse to believe.

There is only one hope.

If my people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek, crave, and require of necessity My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and head their land. ~ 2 Chronicles 7:14

There is NO OTHER WAY! Each of us must find our way back to God and begin to turn back to what God's laws have stated otherwise, there will be no future for our country. God's timetable is running out, and by 2015, God will reveal another judgement on this country. What will it be? Revival or Judgement?

From Ashes to Honor - Giveaway and Review Ends on 9/11

If he had only answered that last phone call from the World Trade Center...

Minutes before two jumbo jets changed U.S. history, NYPD officer Austin Finley ignored the call from his brother. Mercy Samara, who cost Austin his job after 9/11, leaves the city to work as a school counselor in Baltimore. When Mercy and Austin cross paths again, will their common - and painful - memories finally bring them closer or drive them further apart? (excerpt back cover).

In the latest novel from Loree Lough, From Ashes to Honor, works through the lives of Dr. Mercy Samara and former NYPD officer, Austin Finley, who are brought together following the events of 9/11. Mercy is a clinical psychologist whose goal is determine if Austin is fit enough to return to work as a NYPD officer after multiple incidents involving his out of control temper. Despite all his sessions with Mercy, he won't come to terms with what happened that fateful day and how it affecting him in his work and therefore, remains in denial.

Mercy struggling with her own issues involving 9/11 and the fact that most people stereotyped her as another Muslim terrorist following the attacks, while trying to help first responders like Austin deal with the underlying trauma of that day. When she can't sign the release authorizing Austin to return to anything other than desk duty, there paths will take them to new places but will once again intersect.

This time, Austin has turned his talents to becoming an EMT and Mercy has moved to Baltimore to take up something less stressful than working with first responders in the aftermath of 9/11, she now works as a high school guidance counselor. When a football player is injured and the paramedics are called, Mercy and Austin come face to face once more.

I received this book compliments of Abingdon Press for my honest review and couldn't wait to dive into this one once it arrived. This story takes the reader into an emotional ride into the lives of Mercy and Austin but also into the lives of the supporting characters as well, Griff, Flora and Bud, and even the strained relationship with Leo, Mercy's half brother. What we get an opportunity to see is how the rebuilding of what people went through following 9/11 is an ongoing, life changing process that will never be forgotten. It's not something that will ever be forgotten, especially in the lives of Mercy and Austin.

This book is a perfect tribute to those first responders of the 9/11 tragedy that forever changed all of us. It united us all in a common goal, a goal to take care of one another, and see past our differences. This would make a great gift for anyone involved in first response or who loves anything dealing with 9/11. I rate this book a perfect 5 out of 5 stars.

Remembering 9/11

I wanted to take the time today to remember that fateful day on 9/11. The day that all of us that were alive that day can remember with vivid details what we were doing. Too often whenever anything happens that we don't understand, we finding ourselves asking, "Why God Why?" I think this video does a great job at providing an answer we never considered.

So when people continue to ask Why? I hope they'll remember God is always there.

Sitting on the Fence!

Have you ever found yourself stuck in the middle of a difficult decision, not knowing quite what to do? How do you figure out what to do? How do you know that your decision will be the right path to take? Whom do you ask for help?

Hopefully your answer would be to pray first before tackling anything that you have doubts about. You never know the path that God would like for you to take. Even though you may think that the choice would be easy however, God may have something even better in store for you.

Too often we find ourselves sitting on the fence between the world of black and white. We call sitting on the fence, those areas of shades of grey. Nothing could be that simple, shouldn't we compromise? The question we should ask ourselves is do we know what is right from wrong?

In today's world, people are accepting things that they know are wrong, and calling it acceptable, and the things that should be good such as things based on Biblical teachings are now be tossed out as wrong. In Micah 3: 1-2 it states, "Should you know justice, you who hate good and love evil."It is wrong to eliminate God in government buildings, schools and churches. Sorry but it is what our country was founded on but has seemed to slide lately in favor of what the majority wants. Since when has the majority ever been right? Aren't we compromising things that we seriously shouldn't? We were once a nation that feared God, now this country wants God removed from everything except the church. Even that now is being called into question because people don't want to hear what is wrong in their lives. Are those that make the laws above the laws? But be careful, when you look in the mirror, look out for the double standard in your own life as well.

I will never apologize for my beliefs and if asked I will be prepared to share those with anyone who asks. Do you find yourself feeling less shocked when you see things on the news or in the movies because it is the new norm for you? Do you find yourself becoming more and more tolerant of that which is evil and less interested in that which is spiritual? Do you find that your words seem to have no effect on the nonbelievers you share them with?

If we don't pick a side and in this case it should be the white side of our fence, then when we try to correct someone in the error of his ways, we won't have any affect. There won't be any power in our witness because we lived a compromised life.

Our current government has done what is right in their own eyes. They need to do what is right in God's eyes instead of their own, otherwise we will continue to have problems in our country. It's like when 9/11 happened, we had people everywhere asking this country to pray, people were praying everywhere. In schools, government buildings, office buildings you name it, people that day and days that followed begged God for his help. Did you ever notice that God didn't really do anything to help this country following that tragic event? He could have exposed the terrorists responsible and had them eliminated but amazing enough, we still can't find them. It's because we never repented in our evil, greedy ways and yet still asked God for help. We were still sitting on the fence, not wanting to pick a side one way or another. We wanted our cake and eat it too! Micah 4:4, states "Then they will cry out to the Lord, but he will not answer them. At that time he will hide his face from them because of the evil they have done."

Even today in the ministry, there are people that are in the ministry using it primarily to make money. They tell people what they want to hear, so that people will send in their money. But it doesn't last. Leaders and authority figures love money and they love themselves. They believe everything that they are doing is justified, but God will allow judgement to occur because of their continuing to sin. Nothing this president and his cabinet attempt to do on their own will work to restore our country. We need to change our ways. They need to change their ways and turn their hearts back to God. We can't accept things we know are wrong and accept them as right. We need to help people out and stop turning our backs when people are hurting. We need to genuinely care about people again.

You can't experience peace until you make peace with God. So as a person who claims to be a Christian shouldn't be afraid of anything. Our lives should be a reflection of what lies beneath. We shouldn't worry about offending anyone, otherwise we shouldn't be a Christian. We are the light and salt of this world and the world that is currently dwelling within the darkness it has brought upon itself, hates the light. It hates to be shown the error of it's ways because it would be forced to change, and it feels too good right now to change. Even in church there are people who will say, "I don't want to hear that!" I just want a pep talk. I want someone to to tell me what I want to hear.

Peace in our lives fails when we put our eyes on our circumstances instead of on God. Stop sitting on the fence. Stop trying to justify your actions! Stop living the lies you keep feeding yourself. Time to pick a side, there are no areas of grey in God's eyes! Time is running out for you to make that choice, do you really want to be left behind, thinking that you can always do it tomorrow?
